THUNDERSTRUCK CARS

The car used for the Thunderstruck High Speed Passenger Experience is the rear wheel drive Formula 27 sports car, specifically designed for race circuit use. Weighing a mere 540kg (about 1/3 of the weight of the average family car) with 190hp on tap from the 2 litre Duratec engine gives it a colossal power to weight ratio of 350hp/tonne. Powering to 60mph in 4 seconds and with a top speed of 140mph it is a very pure racing experience - no antilock brakes, no power steering and no traction control. seat of the pants stuff and quite different to anything you have ever experienced before.
